Part I: A Baker from Goa

  • Summary: Yeh story Goa ke traditional village baker (Pader) ke baare mein hai. Portuguese culture ka asar aaj bhi wahan dikhta hai. Baker ki bambu (bamboo) ki jhang-jhang sound bacchon ko jagati thi, aur bread-bangles unka favourite tha.

  • Character Sketch (Baker): The baker (Pader) was an important and respected member of the Goan village. He was a friend and guide to children. He traditionally wore a ‘Kabai’ or a shirt and trousers, and usually looked plump and prosperous.


Part II: Coorg

  • Summary: Coorg (Kodagu) Karnataka ka sabse chota district hai, jo apni coffee, spices aur rainforests ke liye mashhoor hai. Yahan ke log ‘Kodavus’ apni bahaduri aur hospitality ke liye jaane jaate hain.

  • Character Sketch (Coorgi People): The people of Coorg are fiercely independent, brave, and hospitable. They are of Greek or Arabic descent. Known for their courage, the Coorg Regiment is one of the most decorated in the Indian Army.


Part III: Tea from Assam

  • Summary: Rajvir aur Pranjol Assam ja rahe hain. Rajvir Pranjol ko chai (tea) ki discovery se judi legends (Chinese aur Indian myths) batata hai. Assam ko “Tea Country” kaha jata hai kyunki wahan duniya ke sabse zyada tea gardens hain.

  • Character Sketch (Rajvir): Rajvir is a curious and well-read boy. Unlike Pranjol, he is excited to see the tea gardens and does extensive research about the history and legends of tea before visiting Assam.
